δῐχόμηνις f. adj.,
1 dividing the month i. e. coming in the middle of the lunar month, when the moon is full. ἤδη γὰρ αὐτῷ διχόμηνις ὅλον χρυσάρματος ἑσπέρας ὀφθαλμὸν ἀντέφλεξε Μήνα (ὅτι πανσελήνῳ ἄγεται ὁ Ὀλυμπιακὸς ἀγών) O. 3.19 “ἐν διχομηνίδεσσιν δὲ ἑσπέραις ἐρατὸν λύοι κεν χαλινὸν ὑφ' ἥρωι παρθενίας” (τουτέστιν ἐν ταῖς τῆς πανσελήνου νυξί. κατὰ ταύτας γὰρ ἐποίουν τοὺς γάμους.
